Services / Excavation & Sitework

Every lasting project starts below the surface.

Before anything is built, planted, or paved, the ground has to be right. Anderson Landscape brings decades of excavation and sitework experience.

— Excavation & Sitework

The foundation everything else is built on.

Most of what we do at Anderson Landscape is visible: the hardscape, the plantings, the structures. But the work that makes all of it possible happens first, underground, and out of sight. Excavation done right means a project that performs for decades. Done carelessly, it means problems that surface slowly and cost far more to fix than they would have to prevent.

We self-perform every phase of our sitework with our own equipment and operators — no subcontractors, no hand-offs, no gap between the people who design the scope and the people executing it in the field. Whether we're clearing a raw lot, opening a foundation, or trenching for utilities, the same standard applies across every inch of the job.

— What we do

From the first cut of the soil.

Our excavation and sitework capabilities cover every phase of ground preparation — for new builds, landscape projects, and everything in between.

01

Lot Clearing

We clear sites for new construction, additions, and landscape projects — trees, stumps, brush, and debris — and manage the material responsibly. A clean, properly cleared site is the starting point every good build deserves.

02

Utility Trenching

Trenching for water, electric, and other underground utilities, coordinated with the relevant trades to keep the project moving cleanly. We understand what's required at each stage and work to keep transitions seamless.

03

Foundation Excavation

Precise excavation for residential and commercial foundations, following grade specifications and working closely with general contractors and builders to keep the project on schedule. We take the accuracy of this work seriously — because everything above it depends on it.

— Why Anderson

Why homeowners & property owners trust Anderson Landscape.

01

We Own the Equipment

We operate our own excavation equipment on every job. That means tighter scheduling, consistent quality, and a crew that's accountable to the outcome — not just the day rate.

02

Experienced Operators

Operating heavy equipment well is a skill that takes years to develop. Our operators bring that experience to every site — reading the ground, working precisely, and making decisions in the field that protect the project and the property.

03

Coordinated with the Full Scope

Because Anderson Landscape also handles drainage, hardscape, landscaping, and construction, our excavation and sitework is planned in context. The grade we set anticipates what comes next — not just what's in front of us today.

04

Trusted by Builders & Contractors

We work regularly alongside general contractors, landscape architects, and builders across the region. We understand what it means to be a reliable trade partner — showing up on schedule, communicating clearly, and doing the work right the first time.

— How it works

Getting started is simple.

Getting started with Anderson Landscape is simple. Here's what to expect.

1
Step 1

Consultation

We visit the site, review the project scope, and ask the questions that matter before anything is proposed. Understanding what's below the surface — soil conditions, drainage patterns, utility locations — informs every decision that follows.

2
Step 2

Proposal & Design

We put together a clear, detailed proposal covering scope, phasing, equipment, and timeline. If we're working alongside a general contractor or builder, we coordinate the proposal to fit within the broader project schedule.

3
Step 3

Excavation & Sitework

Our crew mobilizes with the right equipment for the job. We work methodically, communicate throughout, and flag anything in the field that needs your input before we proceed. No surprises.

4
Step 4

Final Walkthrough

Once the sitework is complete, we walk the finished grade with you — or with the next trade in line — to confirm everything is set correctly and the project is ready to move forward.
